The site of Beynac and its castle is undoubtedly one of the finest in France. The river view from the top of the village is spectacular.

 

 

 

Sarlat

 

Sarlat, the capital of Perigord-Noir is a well preserved mediaeval town, that retains several centuries of history through its architecture. The Saturday market held in Sarlat is very popular and people travel a considerable distance to visit for its local strawberries, mushrooms, walnuts, chestnuts, foie gras, wine and local craft work.

 

Bergerac

 

Bergerac is famously known as the city of Cyrano after the famous French dramatist. It is steeped in history, with medieval streets and half timbered houses, along with the museums and gastronomic pleasures of local cuisine. It is also here, that the famous 'Route de Vin' begins allowing you to explore and taste many of the 13 appellations.
